Abstract

Considers the practical implications of the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 from a surveyor's perspective. Discusses the relevant sections of the Act, the criteria being assessed for fitness, and the matters that a surveyor should consider when evaluating freedom from damp in rented accommodation, including issues associated with condensation, and when determining the adequacy of natural lighting.
