Abstract

The contributors to 'Domestic Service And the Formation of European Identity: Understanding the Globalization of Domestic Work, 16th-21st Centuries' analyze the situation of domestic workers in both the past and present, contributing to existing knowledge concerning their individual characteristics, origins, motivation, cultural identity, and relationships with their families and employers.
