Providing support and working in partnership: music therapy with pre-school children and their parents at a child development centre

chapter
posted on 2023-07-26, 12:51 authored by Amelia Oldfield
In this chapter, the author explores music therapy work over a period of 17 months and two years with two very different famlilies. Both mothers wrote about their perception of music therapy and these comments are interwoven into the accounts of various phases of treatment. The particular reasons why it is useful to work jointly with the parent and the child are explored.
