Abstract

The article explores the practice nurse's role in the health and assessment of older people. The nurse is in a pivotal position to ensure quality care in the physiological, social, and mental health of the patient. The author describes characteristics of aging people, common health problems, and cognitive and social assessment of patients who are older.
