chapter
posted on 2023-07-26, 12:46 authored by Caroline Bassett, Chris WilbertThe Internet itself, and the associated technologies which stand behind its development, emerged out of the Cold War (Rheingold 1994-). Investigates informal leisure uses of technology, including developing home pages, building special interest sites, surfing the Net and participating in electronic communities.
